Licensing Line News is no longer operating. This site will remain live in a static state until 2012.  No updates will be made but reources, editions and other information will still be accessible.

Licensing Line News has been a Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations funded communication initiative to support the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) occupational licensing reform agenda.

Licensing Line News assisted stakeholders to understand and manage the harmonisation of the licensing and training systems, which is key to the effective implementation of much of the COAG occupational licensing reform agenda.

The project has to provided stakeholders with timely, plain language updates on issues of national significance to both systems. It conducts the following three main activities to reach this aim:

Licensing Line News was overseen by a national advisory committee made up of representatives from:

  • the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations
  • state and territory licensing and regulatory bodies
  • state and territory training authorities
  • training providers and resource providers.

The committee provide strategic advice on the direction of the project and review content put on the website and newsletter.
