Creating a future direction for Australian vocational education and training
Skills Australia is seeking feedback on the future direction of VET and submissions are being accepted until 26 November.
Skills Australia has released Creating a future direction for Australian vocational education and training, a discussion paper, and is seeking stakeholder input and ideas on shaping the future direction of the VET sector by holding consultation meetings and inviting written submissions throughout November.
This paper outlines a number of issues for discussion that can help set the future direction that Australian vocational education and training might take. Many of the issues will be familiar to those working in and with the sector.
Skills Australia is keen to tap into this knowledge and experience to come up with workable solutions. Input is invited from people who use or have used the VET system - what are the directions the VET sector can take so it better meets your requirements?
Input can be provided by attending representative stakeholder consultation meetings between 1 - 17 November, or by providing a formal submission by 26 November.
The media release, consultation paper, details of feedback sessions and contact details are available from the Skills Australia website http://www.skillsaustralia.gov.au/VETdiscussionpaper.shtml#keypoints
